UK cancer outcomes currently lag far behind other countries, with higher mortality rates, lower survival rates, a flattening of early diagnosis and years of missed performance standards. We see the publication of the Cancer Plan for England as an important step towards improving outcomes for people with cancer, while also supporting the healthcare professionals who work tirelessly to care for them.
