• Consider a patient who has undergone HDT with SCT or is scheduled for treatment in the near future.
  • What have you done to find out if your patient is appropriately informed about the process?
  • What information did you provide to the patient’s family or carer?
  • When might be an appropriate time to re-visit the information you provided, in order to answer any new questions or concerns that have arisen?

  • What can you do to better represent the views of patients and their families undergoing HDT in the MDT discussions?
