BSH/UKMS guideline on Management of relapsed multiple myeloma

This British Society of Haematology and UK Myeloma Society guideline on the management of relapsed and refractory myeloma was developed to support clinicians making treatment decisions after disease progression following at least one prior line of treatment.

It outlines how to reassess patients at relapse, including disease features, prior treatment exposure and patient preference, and highlights the role of multidisciplinary discussion when planning care.

It also summarises current treatment approaches used in the UK, including combination regimens, monoclonal antibodies, transplant strategies and newer immunotherapy options. As treatment choice is influenced by many clinical and service factors, the guidance does not present a single treatment pathway but supports individualised decision making.
