UKONS 24-Hour Triage Toolkit (v3)
Also known as the UKONS Oncology Haematology 24-Hour Triage Rapid Assessment and Access Toolkit. This resource provides a structured, symptom-based risk assessment process for staff handling urgent telephone advice for people receiving systemic anti-cancer treatment, radiotherapy, or those with disease-related immunosuppression.
The toolkit uses a Red–Amber–Green (RAG) scoring system to support consistent triage, help identify patients who need urgent review, and guide safe self-care advice. Version 3, launched in January 2025, includes updated clinical guidance, a training and competency framework, and tools for documentation and audit.
