Connecting with the myeloma community at IMS 2026
IMS is one of the most important meetings in the myeloma calendar, and this year it’s on our doorstep as Glasgow hosts the 23rd annual meeting, 23–26 September. For Myeloma UK, as well as an opportunity to keep up with the latest science, IMS is an opportunity to listen, learn and connect with colleagues across the healthcare and research community, whilst contributing insights that help ensure people living with myeloma remain at the centre of conversations.
Come and talk to us
We want to hear from you at IMS. Whether you work with Myeloma UK colleagues regularly or you’d like to start a conversation, come and find us at IMS.
Our exhibition stand (stand number 1653) can be found near the poster area, and there will be Myeloma UK colleagues on hand throughout the conference.
- Discover our free resources and tools that can support your clinic and patients.
- Share your perspectives on research, treatment access and challenges facing people affected by myeloma.
- Explore opportunities to collaborate through our Clinical Service Excellence Programme.
- Discuss ways to partner together on shared goals and initiatives.
Myeloma UK colleagues at IMS
Everybody deserves to have a say in their care, and that’s why people living with myeloma are at the heart of everything we do at Myeloma UK. It’s also why it’s essential that patients are represented at IMS, so that their views can shape the international conversations driving progress towards a cure.
In addition to our colleagues sharing patient experiences during the poster sessions, our CEO Sophie Castell is delivering the UK patient voice during the round table discussion alongside European and worldwide charity colleagues. Don’t miss the conversation: Friday 25 September, 5–6pm.
From treatment access and barriers to patient insights, to how a patient-focused approach can drive improvement in myeloma care, our team are looking forward to discussing how, together, we can implement change for people living with myeloma.

Following IMS wherever you are
Whether you’re attending IMS or following updates online, keep an eye on the Myeloma UK HCP Hub for Community Experts highlights, which delve into presentations from the conference and are brought to you by the abstract authors themselves. We’ll be sharing insights from experts across a range of topics during IMS and in the weeks that follow, ensuring you can always catch up with the latest developments.
Beyond the conference, we’ll also be collating learnings and reflecting on the conversations that happen when thousands of myeloma experts from across the world come together in one place.
Share this article with colleagues to encourage them to sign up to the HCP Hub for IMS updates and everything else we have to offer.
Taking the conversation to the community
IMS is also a chance to build connections with people affected by myeloma every day and spread awareness amongst the general public. The Myeloma UK team will be out in the community and ready to talk all things myeloma, whilst the billboard in Princes Square is already spreading awareness of myeloma symptoms. Meanwhile, our partnership with Myeloma Minutes, a myeloma podcast created by Dr Jam Kothari and Dr Sally Moore, will bring patient questions to the experts in a special IMS edition of the podcast.
We’re looking forward to listening, learning and building collaborations that improve outcomes for everyone affected by myeloma.
