At Myeloma UK, we want your patients and their loved ones to feel confident that support is within reach – in the language they feel most comfortable using. Now, our trusted support and information is available for people in their preferred language, both online and over the phone.

However we know that language barriers can make it difficult to signpost people affected by myeloma to reliable sources of information. To help, Myeloma UK have produced a simple, easy-to-print Infosheet in eight of the most commonly spoken languages, giving people a clearer route to the information they need.

Whilst this doesn’t replace your in-house translation services, it offers a practical way to reduce barriers and help people feel more informed and reassured. Print the Infosheet today and share with your patients to make sure that trusted support is available to them.

Real people, real conversations

Using a telephone translation service, people can now connect with our Myeloma Information Specialist (MIS) team in their own language. Interpreters work with the person calling and the MIS colleague in real-time, helping people feel heard and understood. The service is available to anybody affected by myeloma, in over 250 languages. By opening up more opportunities for meaningful, supportive conversations, we make sure more people can access the support and information they need.

Breaking digital barriers: Instant translation and accessibility

The Myeloma UK website and our full range of patient information booklets can be translated into over 100 languages thanks to the ReciteMe language tool embedded on the website. This means our trusted information and news is more accessible than ever – and can help your patients find reliable information between clinics, and in their own language.
