Myeloma UK is strengthening its commitment to driving forward impactful research with the continued development of its Research Advisory Group (RAG) and we’re looking for new members to help shape the future of myeloma research.

To support the delivery of our upcoming Research Strategy, we’re now growing the RAG to include a broader range of voices and expertise. This includes healthcare professionals, researchers and other experts – as well as people with lived experience of myeloma.

Why join?

As a member of the RAG, you’ll help drive research that directly impacts the lives of people affected by myeloma. You’ll explore emerging areas of research and contribute to funding decisions that shape the future of care and treatment.

RAG members:

  • Meet three times per year (one meeting per year in person, with the remaining meetings online).
  • Contribute to discussions that will shape our research portfolio.
  • Work closely with the Myeloma UK Research team.

Who we’re looking for

We welcome applications from both experienced professionals and early career researchers. We take a flexible approach and are particularly interested in individuals with expertise in:

  • Haematology with a focus on myeloma.
  • Allied Healthcare Professionals with myeloma experience.
  • Basic science, such as cell or molecular biology, with an interest in haemato-oncology.
  • Bioinformatics/data science.
  • Statistics.
  • Applied health research with a focus on myeloma or haemato-oncology.

If you are passionate about improving outcomes for people affected by myeloma and want to play an active role in shaping our research direction, we encourage you to apply by 6 June 2025.
